There are currently twenty-one National Association of Watch and Clock Collector chapters in California. Some large, some medium, and some small in terms of the number of members. Some are in rural areas; some in metropolitan areas. Some chapters are relatively close to each other in terms of distance and some are many miles removed from any other chapter. Some chapters specialize in one specific kind of clock or watch; most of them are generalists, having members who collect any and every kind of clock or watch ever made.

Early in 1996, the Council of California Chapters was organized to:

Establish relations and maintain communication between the existing California Chapters, and

Establish a Master Calendar to include Chapter meetings, Mini-Marts, and Regionals, and

Search out outstanding collections and venues for display and exhibition within California, and

Cooperate and assist a Chapter hosting an NAWCC National or Regional Convention, but not to have authority over any California Chapter.

The Council holds one annual meeting in conjunction with the Greater Los Angeles Regional, usually held in February of each. year. Additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the Chairman usually at other regionals held in California.

The Council maintains and publishes the activities of all chapters on this web site, a membersā internet site, and by snail mail.
